Pöstlingberg has been one of my favorite views in all of Austria. Andrew and I went on a beautiful, sunny day. We had been planning on taking the famous Pöstlingberg train up this small mountain but after hearing part of the rail was under construction we decided it was best to drive. It was a short 15 min drive. Once up there, we walked around. There were a couple little cafés and restaurants, a small amusement park/train ride for children and a basilica.
Built in 1748, the Seven Sorrows of Mary Basilica sits on the very top. It was gorgeous. We got there right on time, as a wedding was just about to start after we toured the inside.
We walked around the church, saw some houses and grabbed a drink at one of the surrounding restaurants. Here is the view!
